Last week for Maths I chose  a buddy and me and my buddy had a look at some data that was on google sheets and then we collected the data and put it on a graph. After we did that we put all of the graphs on the slide we made and then we wrote statements. We didn’t quite have time to finish all of the statements so we only got some.

This week for tech I baked Kiwi biscuits,

Kiwi biscuits are plain biscuits but I added chocolate chips and sprinkles to give it some better taste.Biscuits are really fun to make because it is very easy and I enjoy rolling the dough into balls because its just fun.We pushed the biscuits down with a fork so they could spread evenly.

This week for R.E I have been doing a type of Art my art was based on the Triduum.

I started off with doing my first art picture which was the Bread and Wine,I used Water colour to colour this in.My second art picture was of the hill (Golgotha) with the two crosses on the top of the hill and I put a cross at the bottom.My third art picture was of the curtain ripping in the Temple and then i put Jesus’ hands with the nail holes in them coming out from the side.

When I finished all of my art I put it on some black paper and gave it to my teacher.

This week for reading I made a copy of a slide to learn about Passion Sunday,Holy Thursday  and Good Friday.I have only learned about Passion Sunday and Holy Thursday but next week I can learn about good Friday. I have learned a lot from these slides.On the slides I had to read through the paragraphs and write and important words,Phrases and Vocab you could put as much vocab,phrase and words as you wanted.We also had to make a comic strip about either the Last supper or when Jesus rode into Jeruselem on a donkey.This Is a link to my comic strip.

Passion Sunday.

I learnt that Passion Sunday celebrates when Jesus rode a donkey into Jeruselem and he is celebrated as a king.When Jesus rides into Jeruselem people wave palms at him and place them on his path.

Holy Thursday.

I learned that The Last supper is on Holy Thursday and that’s when Jesus performs the Eucharist and when he is finished he tells his disciples that someone will betray him and he said that whoever he gives the bread to will be that person,He hands it to Judas and tells Judas to eat it and then go do what he needs to do.

Te Reo Maori New Zealand Map

Hello everyone,

Last week we did a Te Reo Maori task and I made a north Island a a south island map because it was too hard to do the both on 1 slide.

I named the south island and the north island in their Maori names,With the names on the map you had to write it in it’s English name and It’s Te Reo Maori names.

My letter to my future self

This week we wrote a letter to your future self and at the end on next year you get it given to you and you can see if you have reached all of the goals that you have put down.

This is what we had to add:

• What do you want to leave behind as a legacy?
• How can you look back on your time and say that you lived the St. Francis Values?
• What do you want St Francis to give you as you go on your way.
• Best memory so far?
• What do you hope to have achieved both in the classroom and in your friendships?

R:E

This week for R:E we did a advent scavenger hunt, we made a copy of it and we had to do lots of research on  the questions but before we did all of that we had to write down at the top what we already new about the Advent Wreath and I know that there are 4 candles and three purple and one pink the candles are set on the wreath and lit one by one as we get closer to christmas and on Christmas day there is a white candle that is lit on Christmas day.

I did lots of  research on the questions and got lots of informational answers.

Writing a Picture book

This week and last week we started to write a picture book my picture book is about a cupcakes adventure and it is called The Cupcakes Cakey Adventure,it is about a cupcake named Sugarplum who runs away from the farmers who try to eat her and then she finds herself at a zoo and comes along a Kaka bird named Keekee and they try to run away together and then they do and they fly off and the zookeepers where shocked because they saw a cute pink blob of icing on Keekee.

We have write a picture book and then put it on book creator and then we are going to read it to Kakano.

We had to do a Character plan which is when you open a google drawing,google slides or canva and you made your main character and then put pictures that make them who they are and shows what their personality is.My main character is a cupcake who likes going exploring and then it finds itself in a zoo and finds a Kaka named keekee.

Novel studies

This week for novel studies I have still been reading Percy Jackson and the lightning thief  and right now I am on chapter 15 A God buys us Cheeseburgers. Our expectations is to be at chapters 19-22 by the end of the week, we have to do a vocab task before we do the questions for this week because we haven’t done it yet.
